The 350 H.O. is what I am getting. Good numbers, nice mild street engine that can see 12's with a torque converter and gears.
However, Jegs is jacking that price up! I think GM performance parts centers sell it for around 2200.00! Shop around more and find a better price - I think you'll be happy with it. It packs a way bigger punch than a 305TBI

Personally I say build your own 350. You can get the same power, or more for less cost. AND you can build it how you want it.

It would also be a drag when you wanted to modify the engine, aka cam, and the intake bolt heads snapped off. That engine is sealed with special bolts for circle track classes with spec. engines. They put these bolts on these motors to prevent tampering with the internals.

the price is jacked up becaue the motor is the circle track edition. gm added a larger oil pan, and claims to makes 20 more horsepower thanks to roller rockers.
so you get roller rockers, a bigger oil pan, and a HEI distributer and intake for $600....
i would go with the 350HO base motor, and build the rest yourself.
edelbrock intake ($200) HEI distributer ($150) roller rockers ($190-290). and you don't need the bigger oil pan.
that is, if you want a crate motor.
you could go get a junkyard block, rebuild it with a little higher compression (say 9.8:1 or so) buy some pro-topline vortec heads, add a comp XE268, or XE274 comp cams or the like
and you'll have less or the same money in it, with better heads, a much hotter cam, and more power.

Get that ZZ4, only get the shortblock and bolt on a set of 50 state Edelbrocks or AFRs for your year. Then you can upgrade to TPI later.
Yeah it's too bad we can't just put a carb on, but hey, we don't have to shovel snow.
