Grassroots Motorsports Party Crash
I just got the February Edition where they talk about the Mustang and the heads and intake they put on it.
They mentioned that their project is almost over. That leads to the idea that there may be room for another project pretty soon.
I think it would only be proper that we at thirgen.org demand equal time for an F-body car.
They went from 200 HP to 260HP and from 254 LB-FT to 300LB-FT.
Surely they can muster up the appropriate enthusiasm to do the same for an F-body.
I understand that the general thought around here is that anything less than 350HP and 350LB-FT is not worth the trouble, but what is worth the trouble is exposure for our precious cars in an environment where we get little.
My recommendation is that they get one with a 350, convert it to a manual with a T56, and do all the suspension stuff. That will turn it into a much more potent setup than they ever had with the Mustang.
What we can do is register on their board, and start up with an appropriate topic like "Next Project" or something. Each of us tosses in a message to the effect that we want to see it, and provide some examples. Since there are more than one board that many of us are on we can pass the word. We just may make enough of a dent that they will try one on and see how it works.
The benefit to us is that more exposure creates room for more parts geared toward us, more parts at a cheaper price, and more people giving F-bodies a look once they decide they want an American sports car.
