Engine Light ON!!
It started yesterday...I just got up to 60-65mph and then the engine light came on... After class (an hour later) I started the car up and the engine light never came back on...When I got home I disconnected the battery to clear the computer. Then today once again when I got up to 60-65mph the light came back on...when I got down to 45mph the light went off...After class I went up to 65mph again and the light never came back on....
What would cause the light to come on...

My car did the same thing at about 60-65 mph. It would come on and then turn off after I restarted the car. It did it for maybe a few weeks and then stopped. I'm not sure what was happening but it quit.

When my EGR wasn't functioning due to a vacuum problem, after cruising at highway speeds for a little while my check engine light would come on. Could be any number of things though.
Next time your light comes on don't clear the codes. I am not sure if your car is exactly the same as mine but I would bet it is. I jumped out pins A & B (top 2 pins on the right hand side of the connector) on the ALDL and that puts it in diagnostic mode. It then flashes your check engine light the codes the ecm has stored. It starts with code 12 on my car (diagnostic mode), so it does this: flash, pause, flash-flash. It does each code three times. If you don't do it this way the only other way is to have a shop hook it up to a diagnostic scan tool.
Hope that helps.

When I get home Ill check the codes if possible.
llvll4l2c91350, I have not been on a 1/4 mile track yet but ive been on an 1/8 one. My fastest time was 9.3 that was before most of the mods and before I rebuilt motor.

I just pulled the codes and they are 32 and 43.. Ive read that you can get a code 32 when you have a more free flowing exhaust...is their any truth to that? As for the code 43 I guess I will have to change out the knock sensor.
How come I got 2 codes at the exact same time?
Oh and if it makes any difference, the recent thing I had done to my car was put a new O2 sensor in about a month ago.
