couple of ?'s about Pro lightning heads

Alright here is the set of heads I am about to order http://www.protopline.com/223400080a.asp What I need to know is. Will my edelbrock performer intake work with these heads or do I have to get a 23*intake manifold....if I have to get a new intake who makes a dual plane 23* intake, I know of a few single planes but i dont' want one of those..Last question where can I find these for the cheapest price?

23° has nothing to do with the manifold. It refers to the angle that the valves are canted with respect to the perpendicular to the block. It is the stock angle.

Your Performer will work with them, but something with a bit more flow would probably be more appropriate. Not alot of sense in getting good flowing heads and then choking them with some other part.

Those heads with that manifold should make a nice torquey street engine. A bigger intake will give you a little more horsepower at the expense of some torque.

That group of parts would make a good match, especially if you use 1.6 rockers.

I ordered 180 cc heads and it was going to take a long time to get them so I went ahead and got the 200cc. Don't know if this is common or not but I thought I would give you a little heads up. Am real happy with them and also have the RPM airgap intake and a simular cam to what you are choosing, just one step bigger. You should be happy with your combo.

Do you have any idea how much horsepower you are pushing...Cause I am also toying with the idea of using a 383 stroker bottem end to go along with all those other parts.

I can't tell you very much that would be helpful on that. But I'm wondering, did you compare the proline 23* 180s to the vortec replacement? If so what influenced your decision?

Thanks
