Causes for Throttle Sticking

This is a 3.1 V6 in a 92 RS but really seems like a general tech thing....

Now (after i've fixed every God forsaken error code my stupid car keeps spitting out)i have a problem with the pedal/throttle sticking and one time the pedal returning but the throttle sticking. What are all the possible causes for this, i know the obvious lubricate the linkage. The main problem is i cannot recreate the stick when the car is not running, the pedal or throttle will not stick. This is just a shot in the dark but it almost feels like the cruise control is starting and holding the pedal there. I suppose i could test that by removing the fuse... Sorry to be talking to myself hehe, I want every and any idea you can give me (besides flames) as to the cause, thanks in advance

B.S.
(unimportant, but damn good reasons to drive the 92 RS off a cliff)
I think the most damning part of this whole thing is having the POS 86 SC sitting in the driveway with the SES that will not shut off and it's now broken, the radiator that leaks, and the bald 4 tires, but the freaking thing will start and run no matter what the temp and the stupid power windows and Cruise still work WTF!!!!!
Guess they don't make em like they used to?

Have you tried cleaning the throttle plate ??

I use simple green and a toothbrush, some intakes use a lining on the throttle bore that carb cleaner will destroy, causing a high idle. (Mostly Fords)

I just had one the other day that did the same thing. Would only stick while running.

Make sure to clean past the plate into the throttle bore.

Auxout, believe it or not I had the same problem on my brothers 2.8L 88 Firebird. The cruise was engaging andthe throttle would "stick". I did the cheap way out and disconnected the cruise.

My cousin's 3.1L 92 RS use to do almost the same thing, except his would hunt at idle. We cleant out the throttle-body completely and we saw after we disassembled his throttle-body that he had oil that was comeing in from the hose on the throttle-body going to the passenger side valvecover. We cleant everything up, etc. Removed the hose, blocked off the port that it came into the TB and put a valvecover breather in useing a PCV Valve grommet and a tad bit of thread-tape (as we call it here) to make it fit snug. So you might wish to check that, and on my car i had the cruise control problem myself. So check both of those, if you don't want to go through the trouble of cleaning it out as thoroughly as me, just get some Throttle-Body Cleaner (I know 'Mag 1' makes some) and clean the TB blade, small amounts of carb. cleaner will work too.
