Radiator Fan

Radiator Fan

I have a 91 single cooling fan, can i swap it for a dual fan from a 92 trans am?
I had mine squeezed so now its makin scrapin noises,
My cars a 91 firebird 305
Any info is appreciated,

it should fit if that's what you're asking. you'll have to add the senser for the second fan or wire it on all the time. if you don't want to change fans i think you can "adjust" the one you have to not scrape.

hmm.... okay, so the harness that i have right now will plug N Play with the new #1 fan, And Then Ghetto rig a switch for secondary?

You can always run another relay off the original fan relay to power the second fan. Unless you want to control it all the time. I wouldn't recommend wiring both fans off the same relay or you'll smoke it.

hmmmm.... a little bit confused, i was sure if the harness that i have right now, will just fit into one of the fans, so whenever the puter needs it, it will turn on fan #1
But if its a hot day, and i feel it needs to be cooler i can turn on #2 fan, and #1 fan will act as usual

Go for it.... you have most of the components right there...if the motors are good. Even if they are not, the fan blades and shroud with brackets more than make up for it.
