Mallory Unilite V6 or V8?

is the only differance on a unilite the rotor and cap on a v6 and v8?

What a bunch of slackers!

No there are other differences... the litle window thing only has 6 holes instead of 8, much like a 6-cyl points dist has 6 lobes instead of 8... Once you get outside the dist to the module and coil, I believe they are the same, at least they used to be.

rb on mine (i think) the windows are cut into the rotor. i'll have to dig it out and look it over a little more.

That's a possibility, it would certainly work if they did it that way. It used to be a separate piece though IIRC. But it's been at least 15 years since the last time I fooled around with one of those, so my memory may be faded or they may have changed the product.
