rebuildable 350?

rebuildable 350?
OK, I got a line on a complete L98 from a 92 Z. The guy ran through some water and it locked up. He wants 400 for the complete engine(TPI) included. What is the possiblility of the block being cracked, or the crank fubared? Like I said, I have not seen it yet, maybe Sat. morning.

Chances are good the block and crank are OK. Usually when a motor gets "hydraulic-ed" like that, it bends rods.
Depending on the condition of the rest of the stuff, it might be an OK deal; don't think you're going to just take it home, drop it in and fire it up though.

naw, I really need a motor I can rebuild, haveing all the stuff to it just makes it easier in the swap. Hell, I might use the tpi on my 327 in another truck.
