Which heads?

Ok, this is for my 406 I'm building.

sdpc200.com's upgraded Vortec heads = $650 (Not including shipping)

OR

Edelbrock Performer RPM 64cc strait plugs = $790 (Including shipping)

Is there a huge difference between the two? Enough difference to justify the (I'm guessing $100 price difference)? I know aluminum heads can take more compression and the rebuild kit I'm useing for my motor will yield 10.14:1 with 64cc heads. Should I spring for the Edelbrocks? Will I be happier with the performer RPM's??

Thanks in advance!

How about some Pro Topline Vortecs, much better, cheaper and already setup for performance.

For my 400, I went with a set of self ported large valve
2.02-1.60" Vortecs. Intake flow improved to 245cfm from 228 stock.

Performance wise, its going to be a toss up as the Performer RPMs work well too.
They also will respond to porting if you feel the need. If you're worried about 10.1:1 being to much for your available strret gas. You could open up the combustion chambers a little to lower the cr.
The new edelbrock Etec heads are interesting too.

I don't plan on touching the heads once I pick which ones I want. I just wanna figure out which are gonna be better in factory form, and I'm figureing that aluminum will be nice too.

Which is gonna flow better? And I know that the RPM's are $1000 new, so i figure it's a steal at $790 shipped.

Is is worth it?

lol, ALRIGHTTT....a guy on e-bay has 6 sets of them for $700, and they're assembled. the extra $90 is how much shipping would cost for me.

I'm gonna get me a set tomorrow for sure.
