I got a 83 z28 5sd, Just got it about 2 months ago, any way, Put new distributor,intake,carb,headers,fuel pump just because i had the parts. But my problem is at 3000 rpm i get this bad vibration, from the engine bay. It happens in neutral or through out the gears. So can any body tell me whats up?

With a stroker, you could have some internal engine balance problems if the wrong crank/flywheel/haronic balancer combination is used, but you should be noticing vibration at about 1,550 rpm (and multiples thereof). Depending on whether you used a 400 crank or aftermarket internally balanced stroker crank, you'd have to select the flywheel and balancer to match.

I'm not sure what transmission you have (C-5?), but I'd suggest you check the flywheel/flexplate for missing mounting bolts, poorly centered pressure plate, imbalanced torque converter, etc.

 

HEY I THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME. THE TRANI CAME STOCK WITH THE CAR. THE STROKER WAS BUILT BY GLOBAL MOTORS OUT OF FEDRAL WAY WASHINGTON. IT WAS BALANCED AND BLUE PRINTED, I HAVE ALL THE SPECS. sO I GUESS ITS TIME TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE SHOP.
