Lights are sealed. Either with a vacuum or a gas. Headlights have a halogen gas in them. The sealed light allows the filiment to burn hotter without blowing out. So drilling into them will release the gas and they will blow out quickly. It will say sealed beam. 3rd gen f-bodies have them.

I know one of the lights I bought for my car

Somebody had busted my lense and my bulb still worked. So maybe to answer your question. Theres a bulb inside the lense its just a closed lense.

I believe Hella makes a kit to turn our H6054 setups into those little "replace just the bulb" setups, like on newer cars with fixed plastic lenses. You might want to look into that. Then you could use those highly annoying super-hyper-ultra-blue-white damn bulbs that every moron and their girlfriend is putting into their cars (please don't).

well its with our cars sitting so low to the ground I dont think it matters much. Theres always gonna be the ******* driving down the road with his lights in my eyes. (Everyone that passes by) *** I hate other drivers....But ya Im sure you can either fab something up, or rather just get the kit.

G0D I hate those things. Especially when they put them in the high beams and leave them on at all times so its like they have a high end BMW or something. When someone comes up behind me with them I just slow down to around 35 on the highway, make them pass and get behind slower traffic, and then accelerate back up to 90 or so and loose them. Even get the pleasure of seeing them get all bent out of shape when I go to take an exit.

There is a way to make our lights fixed with replaceable bulbs. Buddy did it to his 87 S10 which I believe has the same lights. Im not sure where he got it ill have to ask.
