What do u know about.....
The cold start injector? What's its purpose? Can it be fixed or does it have to be replaced? Is this thing necessary on an 87 2.8l? Where is it located? Does it attach on the fuel rail? If I remove it, will fuel spray out?
The cold start injector provides extra fuel for starting. Without it, you will have excessively long cranking times. If your's is not working, it can be repaired, replaced, or eliminated by reprogramming the ECM. Probably the easiest thing to do is diagnose and repair the problem. If you simply remove it, you will create more problems than you have now.
Incidentally, why do you suspect a problem with your cold start? In addition to teh injector, there is also a control that mounts in a coolant passage. You may have a problem with that instead of the injector itself.

I've replaced the temp sensor, the fuel pressure regulator and still my car takes forever to start. I'm going to check fuel pump(once i get the gauge) and timing but I found something that may be causing me some problems first.
