ok, on monday i took my car to get checked cuz i had no idea what was causing the idle to go high and sometimes the car would stall at start up, so today the mechanic said that its the tranny that is causin the problem. any help here cuz i dont thing the tranny can cause my problem.

 

I don't know why, but I think I'd be asking for a more in-depth explanation. AFAIK, the only connections between the transmission and ECM on our cars are the VSS, T/C solenoid, and some cars with a neutral/drive switch on the linkage. AFAIK, the neutral/drive switch is only used primarily for EVAP purge and EGR function, VSS diagnosis, and a few other insignificant lines of program. I don't believe if affects the target idle RPM. .
