90 RS Axles
i just got a 90rs with a 700r4 and 305tbi. what spline axles do i have? i am looking for a 3 series carrier and i noticed there were 26 and 28. which one is for me? tia

Yeppem, IIRC in '89 they started changing over in the 9 bolters, but demented boy has the best idea (ho boy, that just don't sounf right) check out the drivetrain board, I'll bet you won't even have to post, that Search things works wonders.

ede if they didn't then I got me some serious problems. I got 4 sets of axles sitting in the shed, and I swear one is 26 and the other three are 28, all coming out of GTA's with the 9 bolt rear. Now you got me worried.

Axle/Gears: 9-bolt w/ 3.23's
there are two types of axles for the 9-bolts. One was for the 2.77/3.08 carrier, it had 28 splines, and the other was for the 3.23+ carrier, it had 31 splines.
