I am going to order roller rockers for my vortec heads and am wondering which ones will work for those heads. Also do I need tall valve covers.

Crane's Gold Race roller rockers are the only ones I know of that are made for centerbolt valve covers. You should be able to get away with the stock valve covers (I did).

Are they 1.6's? Does that matter?

I used Proform rockers with the stock covers and all they needed was a little dent in that oil seperator for the PCV. These rockers are the same size as any of the other brands (Harland sharp, Blazer...) and they are cheap ($140) and made of the same good materials (Billet)

Anyone else ever had trouble with clearance??? I don't see it possible unless stud girdles and junk are in the works.

Yeah, mine are 1.6's...I'm not sure if it matters either.

Joel: Do you have the centerbolt valve covers? If it's that easy to make regular rocker arms clear on the centerbolts I sure wish I hadn't forked out $300...
