OK.. i have a couple things here to figure out any help pleas!!!

1....Rpm's seem to be running about 1500 to 2000 high

2....Speedo works only occasionaly and when it does it only goes to like 30 mph and back and forth... then SES light comes on

3....Oil pressure is pegged over 60 psi and stays there

4....Temp gauge peggs when key is turned then goes back to 100 and stays there and does not heat up even after 2 hrs of driveing

everything i am having probs with is in the cluster.. anything that could cause it all or is it just alot of things adding up??

this is a 91 Z-28 305 TPI with auto tranny..... please help me thanks in advance...

My initial thought is the ground between the engine and firewall or between the battery and the frame. Have you checked any voltages?

 

no i havnt checked any voltages yet.. i just got the car and was fixing a few other things...though i did get the codes that brought the SES light on.. they are 24 and 34.. not sure if that has any effect on the cluster readings or not.. ill try to get the voltages tomorrow... if the snow doesnt keep me busy with other things. lol...i just want to get this all worked out before i start putting in the 4th gen interior and all..
