How much oil do I put in differential?

Should I just fill it up to the set screw on the side?

Yes. Fill it up to the level of the fill plug. It should take betwen 1½ and 2 quarts. Then drive it slowly around a bunch of corners in a parking lot or something, turning bothe ways, to sling some fuid up into the tubes.

HIX,

Yes, it will take a little less than two quarts on a Saginaw (now American Axle) ten-bolt housing. If it has a limited slip axle, mix the friction modifer additive with the first quart before you pump it in.
