Has anyone tried this products? Claims to reduce coolant temp by 30 degrees? Also lookin into a stewart water pump.

it works ,maybe not as well as they claim, all depends on the condition of your cooling system. royal purple makes something too, forget what it's called.

The stuff from royal purple is called purple ice. It seems to work decent, I'm running it my car.

The thing with water wetter is it works better in exactly that, WATER. Straight water actually helps dissapate heat faster, but of course it freezes, rust etc. Antifreeze prevents freezing, provides corrosion protection and lubritcation. If you are running a 50/50 mix in a car that doesn't run hot, you won't see a difference. In a combo like mine with mostly water in the system (roughly 85% distilled water 15% antifreeze, after winter of course!) a bottle of WW will help reduce temps. Keep in mind this is not a cure for a malfunctioning cooling system.

RD WW does work rather well. It will also reduce temps in a 50/50 mix as well as in a water dense mix. Personally, I always recommend 60/40 mixes.

I agree a roughly 50/50 mix is better, but that would be on a street driven, year round daily driver. Mines a summer car, so I run a weaker mix. I find I get cooler, more consistent temps. by running more water. I find that the WW is MORE effective with a higher water content. When I tried it on my 305, I noticed no difference, on the BBC, I do notice a reduction in temps. This is just my results on my car, every car and climate conditions will be different. All I'm saying is to NOT use this on a weak or failing cooling system as a crutch. This is the same as putting thicker oil in to reduce oil burning or putting sawdust in the diff. to queit it down. None of these REPAIR the problem, they just MASK it for a while. So, use this as a SUPPLEMENT not a CURE for the cooling system.

It increases the heat absorbtion rate of your coolant. That means it will lower the temperature of the metal (coolant passages), NOT your coolant temperature.
Do not expect to see temps on your gauge to drop any at all.

It actually increases the heat transfer rate of water and slightly does this for ethylene and propylene glycol. It will reduce your operating temps.

WW is suppose to protect againtst corrosion and rust. i did notice a difference in temp in mine since i rarely had to use my second cooling fan.
