Harmonic Balancer problems

I noticed that it moved back enough to saw through a coolant line behind it. I cut the section of metal pipe that the balancer was hitting. and went around it with a rubber hose. Is it safe to drive if the harmonic balancer is bad??

NO, its not safe! If it moves enough, it could wear a hole through the timing chain cover. Not to mention, the balancer is now not able to perform its job. Get a new one from the dealer, about $85, and install will take you about an hour. Also highly recommend to go to your local parts store and rent the puller/install kit.

Plus imagine the sheetmetal damage that sucker could cause if she comes off. Even at low rpms that thing has a lot of girth to it!
