I've got some cash to spend on the car, I was thinking...

k&n filter lid top 50.00
air/fuel meter and 02 sensor 100.00
carb calibration kit, 600 edelbrock 40.00
accel 300+ wires (have super stock now) 45.00

Does this sound like money well spent? I am running out of little things to do to the engine and I am pretty satisfied with the cars performance right now. Should I keep saving for a nice set of heads?

By "filter lid top" do you mean those newer filters that sit on top of a reagular open element filter?

If your R/A hood is funtional and there's room for air to flow over the top (between the hood ceiling and filter top), then that'd probably be useful. If there isn't any room for air to flow over it anyway, it's probably a waste.

I'd get the carb kit and get tuning! I'd also skip the wires for now.

After that save for heads or exhaust.

Just my 2 cents.

Laters,
Scott

sounds like a start. Also dial in your timing

Scott,
The hood is functional and yes it is the filter lid that goes on top of the regular K&N filter. I can see how it would be a benefit after reading your post it makes more sense the engine would suck more cold air though the top vs. sucking from the sides and gathering more of the warm underhood air.

What all is done to the car as it is?

-1.5 roller rockers
-retrofit roller cam
-hyd. roller lifters
-noisy timing gears
-edelbrock headers, ypipe, and rpm catback with hooker tuned flow mufflers
-insulated fuel line, k&n 14x3"
-Accel wires, accel coil, accel hei module, advance kit springs and weights
-350 crate motor w/ported 58cc 305 heads
-holley mechanical fuel pump
-summit highflow h20 pump, be cool rad., very small flexfan
-rpm air gap, 600cfm carb
