Greetings, I am new to the this bulletin board. I bought an '83 Firebird Trans Am this past December with a 305 Cross Fire-Injection V8. See pictures at http://albums.photopoint.com/j/Album...&sp=1&vt=vpall I am having difficulties with my cruise control. I have checked the voltage on the brake switch, the plug from the steering column, and the solenoid. I have found out that the cruise control transducer has been replaced, as I cannot bolt the solenoid to the transducer, as the Helm service manual shows it should be. Also in trouble shooting, the manual wants me to check a 3 point check valve near the vacuum pump. I am having trouble locating the vacuum pump. Can anyone help me to locate the vacuum pump, and any other suggestions as to what to check would be appreciated.
