help! coolent puddle on passanger floor!
hey just wondering if anyone would know what could be causing a small, slow leak of what appears to be coolent on the passenger side floor? i just noticed it and after cleaning it up it appears once again a few days later. anyone know where this might be leaking from? thanks for any help with this!!
The heater core probably.

probably? hell, i KNOW its the heater core, those crappy things have busted on both my 88 Trans am AND my 79 Firebird.

That is surely the heater core. It has happened to most of us I'm sure! It is a relatively easy job. That only hard part is the screws in the back that hold the core in place. When you get it out, don't have it rebuild unless you are going for all original equipment, it is cheaper to just get a new one.

hey thanks for the help, not too disappointed i mean the cars a decade old things are sure to go on ya. have to do some other minor repairs too while im at it... again thanks everyone for the help!

just unhook the two hoses that go to the heater core at the firewall, use a sump or something to suck the coolant that's left out of the core, and then connect the two hoses together. You won't ever have heat again, but at least you won't ever have to **** with the heater core
