Throttle Sticks Open
Okay I went to get my car today it has been sitting outside all winter. It was on concrete and I covered it up real good but moisture got in under the engine bay and all my aluminum parts had like 1/8th of a white film sticking on them.
So anyways it started up no problem but my throttle is messed. At first I couldnt even push the pedal down and when it does go down it does not return. I gave it a good dose of wd40 and took the rubber intake boot off to check the inside of the throttle body and its fine.
How can I get it to stop sticking?? I took off the TPS sensor so spray behind that and when I was putting the bottom screw back in the damn thing snapped off.
So basically the cars like 50 miles away from me, I cant drive it home, and there are no good shops around to fix it.

Mostly likely cause is a rusted up cable. Use your hand to move the pedal in and out. Youll get alot better feel from your hand then your foot. It should move freely. Sounds like its binding up from your description.

I checked the cable from the pedal its free and i can pull it back and forth at the throttle body no problem. The trouble is somewhere at the throttle body. I dont know if its just all corroded in there or if somethings wrong with the return spring??

If you've removed the throttle cable and determined that the TB itself is sticking, you may need to remove the TB, clean and oil it (NOT WD-40!) right at the throttle shaft and bushings, operate it until it's free, oil again as necessary, and reassemble it.
