Replace your 305 with a 350. Then replace the exaust and add headers. Then some good heads, and intake and a cam. Simple enough?

sorry about that, i was wondering what would be best to do with
a 350, like carb or stealthram (or other tpi), exhaust, headers, cat, and was also wondering i have seen alot of people with the 700r4 with the 350 would that be the best trans to use for a 350? thanks again

ok, like what route would be better carb or tpi i know tpi isnt easier but could i possibly get more hp from a tpi than a carb? and if i do go tpi, would a stealthram be good? or is there a better tpi system to gain more hp.

you still need to say what you're wanting to do. budget, class, usage, and anything else that will factor into it, like e check or rules. you're asking an unanswerable question without defining the parameters you're trying to work within.

sorry bout that didnt get the question clearly last time. budget around 20,000, usage mainly show car, summer driving only, im in canada so no worry bout emissions. I wouldnt be drag racing or anything like that just a casual car with some higher end stuff for MORE POWER!!!! hehe
i'd go efi with some custom prom tuning all else being equal. i'd build a 400 SBC or a 350 SBC. as for a trans guess that'd be more preferance than anything else. think t56 or tremac would be my picks for a manual and a pro built 700r4 for an A4 and for a A3 a th350. rear would be a 12 bolt with c clip eliminators. that should pretty much eat up your budget by the time you add in all the little things.

With $20000 I would save myself the trouble an buy another car. You could get a builtup TA with a LS1 for about about $14,000, add a supercharger to it and your done.

ya but i already have a 86 z28 but i think i actually might go with a 350 or 400 zz4, stealthram, and a 700r4 anyone know about how much that would roughly cost? going from a carbed 350, not sure bout the trans but its the original stock

You will definitely need to replace that transmission. The 700R4 can be built to handle the horsepower and Pro-Built would be the way to go. Go to www.pro-built.net for prices. I think they are around $1400.
