Ok.. got the car running. Still a little rough, but it will run through the RPM range. However, it will not idle. Right around 1k, it gets rough and if you let your foot off, it does. Sound like a major vac leak or other?
It seems to be pretty smooth around 2500/3K rpm and up. Still runs rich, puffing a bit of black out of the pipes (just a bit).
When you start it, it will not just fire up, rather start to kick and you have to give it gas to get it going.

What have you done to it? Would probably help to diagnose, but yes a big vacuum leak could be the problem. I don't think the black smoke would be related to bad idling, though. What was wrong with it before you "got the car running.." ? Are you getting any engine codes?
