Air Conditioning recharge problem
Well im tryign to recharge the ac on my 92 camaro rs. it has an l03 in it just to make that clear. well im trying to convert it over to 134a. the system was completely empty before i started this so i changed the o rings and drained the oil. now i hooked everythign up. fire the engine up and click the ac to max and blower on full. open the valve and wait to see if it will fill up enough to allow the comprssor to kick on. wait 10 minutes nothing happens. so i start to try and find the ac pressure switch cause i was told that if u jump the wires it will force the compressor on. i tried the sensor on the metal tank thingy by the blower(not sure what its called) and the sensor down near the exhaust manifold. both just blew my ac fuse so im kinda lost as to what to do. can anyone help me?

I agree with 'AM Racer', but for grins did you have a vacuum pulled on the system? You don't want any air in the system prior to charging.

That's about right. Maybe a little higher than usual, if anything.
I don't know what you jumped; but what you need to do, is disconnect the connector from the low pressure cutoff switch on the accumulator, and connect the 2 terminals of the connector together with an insulated wire. DON'T connect anything to ground. That should allow the compressor to come on.
Trace the wires and make sure there's not some kind of wrong connection or something somewhere. The dark green wire should go straight from the cutoff switch connector to the clutch.
