Help. I have a 90 camaro with a 3.1L, when i come to a stop i would get a jumpy idle and would stall, i have cleaned the IAC, but still have this problem every so often, was running fine this am but completely stall when trying to reverse, any help would be appriciated. I have changed spark plugs,wires, rotor and cap.

 

I had a similar problem last year with my 88 Camaro 2.8L. The rough idle and stalling always happened when then engine temperature was at least 150-160, and this always happened at stoplights and stop signs. The shop cleaned the throttle body and adjusted the TPS (throttle position sensor). This solved the problem. I also had the distibutor cap, rotor, and wires done about a week later, but just for maintenace reasons.

Took car by the shop, IAC was not getting a signal from computer, removed computer,cleaned terminals and all checks out OK.
