best way to get to the disturbtor bolt is?
ok im real frustrated this small project of mine was only supposed to take 2 days max well its been 2 weeks and its soared into the several hundred dollar range...from machine shop work and buying a crap load of tools ...started out as simple egr replacement now its i have to remove the whole intake manifold for gasket well i cant get to the disturbtor bolt before i buy more tools what is the best way to get to the bolt on my 89 iroc 5.7 tpi and the ignition or coil is out side of the disturbtor not inside or ontop....

well i have always used my own mustard to cram my hand in there but you can buy a special wrench or you can heat up the proper wrench and bend it so that it will work.

Or if you're cheap like me... go to a store that sells cheap wrenches, buy a 9/16, take it home and bend it.
If you have an extra laying around, that's even cheaper.
I bent mine in almost an L the bottom part being the box end, that I put on the bolt, then the top part being the open end, which if the bolt is too tight I use a pliers on to turn it.

There are some tools that, if you do any sort of work yourself, you should not do without (filter wrench, jack stands, pliers, etc.). This is one of them.
