Testing the IAC. I have Idle problems

I have been struggling with this idle problem forever!! I have put in a new TPS and replaced some vaccuum lines that looked bad. The only thing else i can think of is the IAC but i have taken it out and cleaned it but that didn't help. I have also cleaned the whole TB out. I was thinking it might be a IAC but before i drop 45 bucks on a part i'm not sure if is bad i want to be sure. Is there any way to check teh IAC or you got any ideas of what would cause an irregular idle. It just jumps around once in awhile and sometimes it gets stuck around 2 grand. any ideas?

What is the TPS voltage at idle?

Have you set the minimum air position of the throttles?

When my IAC took a dump on me my car would just straight not idle. Is your car shooting any codes? When my car had an erratic idle one time it shot out a Prom error code. I had the chip reburned and it was back to normal.

Lots of MAF cars with idle problems....

How do you have your PCV system hooked up?

So, the fresh air supply, that goes to the valve cover opposite the PCV valve itself, is that still stock? Hooked up to the TB like it's supposed to be?

A 90 wouldn't necessarily have the same issue as a MAF setup would. Erratic idle could be caused by some other things on a S/D setup.
