Need Help Identifying FEAD Please...

I came across this THERMACTOR DELETE photo in your TECH ARTICLE section.

Can someome please identify the year of application of the serpentine mounting bracket(s) and whether it will retrofit to a 1986 IROC 305 TPI?

Many Thanx!

It won't directly retrofit. You need to replace the '86 water pump with a later, reverse-rotation pump to make it work. The brackets should align correctly with the existing accessory holes on the '86 block and heads, however.

You will also need to relocate the alternator to the wrong side of the engine bay, and do the same with the air conditioning compressor. That will mean new hoses, new wiring, etcetera.

You may be better off getting new sheaves for the existing accesories and fitting the new belts.

I really appreciate the help. I was figuring the new pump and switching the comp and alt. What I really need to know is what year(s) the above mounting bracket is off of (the tech article doesn't mention exact year) so I can search for one.

I am trying to modernize and clean-up the engine compartment. Also, is there a kit to mount a SANDEN A/C COMP. on this braket?

Any '90-later V-8 should have all the parts you need. Earlier cars might have the parts, but a '90 is certainly going to have the accesory bracket.
