New Engine Dosent Start, Reg Wont Maintain Pressure

Went to start my engine after working on it for a long 7 months, and the only thing that happend was the fuel pressure reg made a clicking noise up to 7psi then lost all pressure. The engine wouldnt even turn over. Is it my starter? And whats up with the reg?

What regulator are you running? What fuel pump? You sure the clicking noise wasnt your starter solenoid?

Mallory adjustable 3way, stock electric pump. The clicking sound was comming from a the reg.

sounds like you have 2 problems to work out. if the engine won't turn over you need to test for power to the starter. if you have that and the battery is good test/replace the starter. you need to test the pressure from the pump to the regulator.

Its dosent seem like the starter is getting any power. When I turn the key the volt gauge reads about 11. I had the battery recharged at Autozone. I also tried the battery out of my other car, still didnt work. Mabey I did the wiring wrong? All the other power accesories work.
