i need help
guys this isn't an engine problem i have but i don't know what toher board this would go on. i keep having a problem with my windshielf wiper fuses blowing. i put a different wiper motor in it.. still blows fuses. it'll turn on and work but after just a couple minutes the fuses blow. i'm starting to grow very impatient with my car. had a 305, block was cracked.. spent 1200 bucks to rebuild a 350.. then had all kinds of problems with injectors and knock sensor and all other kinds of problmes. then about 2 weeks of driving my radiator went.. now my wiper problem.. it's raining out i cna't drive. hell i even have rain x on my windshield but that only works if you're going like 50. guys help me out i'm really disgusted with this car

Hello trans_am_ta_84,
It's not the wiper motor that is the problem. it's the wiring going to it, you have a short somewhere in it that is blowing the fuse. You may have damaged one of the wires when you put the 350 in or pulled the 305 out. Here is the wiring schematic for it.

wow i don't understand that.. i'll have to take it to my father. well it happened when my old motor was in it also so i have no idea what happened. just started doing it one night.
edit: also when you mean the wiring do you mean the 2 plugs that goes into the motor? one is on the bottom and one plug is on the top.

trickster..
do you think the wiper switch could be no good? i think it's the wiper switch because when i took my column apart today i put it all back together and turned the wipers on.. i touched the wiper switch and the fuse popped.. the switch is all broken so is that a possibility?

I am talking about the switch mounted on the steering column that the multifunction lever clicks into. That is the switch for the wipers and washer. Cruise control cable is part of the multifunction lever and runs down the steering column.

right i know what cruise control cable you're talking about.. it's the black wire. the switch on the side of the column where you turn the wipers onto have wires running from the blinker level to the round white switch in the column.
