Figuring MPG

Does anyone know how I can figure out my MPG without using the mileage on my car since it stopped working about a year ago with the speedometer??? I've been keeping track of how many gallons I put in for a few months now and the dates that I fill up. I mostly only drive it to and from work wich is about 60 miles round trip.
Thanks!

I take it you did not pass your math subjects. Stop and think about that only drive 60 miles per day??? 60 x days/ gals =est mpg

Yea, what I'd do is take another car and drive to work a certain particular way. Take down round trip milage. Fill your tank up, do the same exact drive, then go fill up. Or do the same drive two days in a row, no additional driving, then fill up. Then do your math.

Another one who didn't pass. A lot of effort for a SIMPLE math question.

Are you daft boy? If you want accuracy, you start with accuracy. Not half assed guesses. About 60 miles may or may not be 60 miles. He also does not only drive to work and back. You want I should add a few more variables? Go back to school boyo and leave the thinking to us.

Boyo and your accuracy without a working speedometer he is just going to get a estimate anyways. A simple math question anyone should be able to do, without, drive this in another car, fill your tank and do this and etc and etc. You sound like another good product of the public school system. And I am not a boy.

Actually, I think the point was that the accuracy would be improved by verifying the round trip distance which had been estimated to be 60 miles. Once that's done, the most accurate calculation would be after driving the car in question to and from work (no extra driving!) until the tank was almost empty. Then, we'd apply your formula.

Or we could just do what my old high school buddy Jay did and write "Answers may vary". Of course Jay would be right in this situation.

Find out exact miles you drive per week and how many gallons you fill up with at you interval. All this is really a guess anyway since 10 minutes in a line getting a taco one day will effect the answer unless you do that every single day.

Hey Mike S, you must have failed math as much as I did huh? Passed common sense 101 though, did you.
