I confused myself! :) Position of rotor relative to #1 cap term for advance?
Say I've set up, oh, for example, a 2.8 engine, and am doing the timing. I've confused myself! Is this right:
#1 cyl's at TDC. For advance, the rotor should be "after" (clockwise to) the #1 terminal on the distributor cap, right? The firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6, so the rotor should be between 1 & 2...?
Thanks! I was sure, but I keep thinking about it, and now I'm not.

That way you don't have to remember which was the rotor turns.

Really?? Someone told me that wouldn't work! Great! So say I wanted 10 deg advance. The balancer would point to 10, then I'd line up the rotor and #1 cap terminal? Sweet! I'll do that next time, definately- thanks!
