Anyone with Hedman LT Headers, come in

ok... when i had my engine rebuilt, i had my mechanic install a set of hedman long tube headers i bought off summit racing. he told me that installing the plugs was a bitch, but i didnt realize that until today. my car stalled out on me because my plugs fouled out, so i had to install new plugs. i got them all on except for #5 and #6... the 5/8 bit wont fit in there... the space between the header and the plug is too small. is there any way for me to take out the plugs without removing the headers themselves to get to the plugs? thanks guys... i really appriciate it

i use a wrench that has 5/8" on one side and i believe 9/16" on the other side. it has an offset to it and is around 6inches in length. it has double 12 point ends and was around $9 if i recall. Craftsman makes one. looks like a snake to it.

9/16" 12 point on this side
___
XXX|____
XXXXXXXX|___ 5/8" 12 point on this side.

kinda like that if it comes out.

use a hack saw and cut about a 3-8's - 1/2 inch off the socket at maybe a 20 degree angle, this worked when i put hedmans on my vette

I've got those headers but I have angled plug holes in my heads.

I did buy one socket that was cut down and slips over the spark plug and you use a wrench on the end. SLP sells one for about $20 but you can do it yourself if you have a cutter that can cut a socket.
