code 13 and car misses

I just switched to a replacement crate motor for a 91-93 caprice tbi and put my TPI on it. I have set the timing twice and it keeps jumping back to about 14 and it misses really bad at about 3500 rpm and pings when it changes gears and when i first get on it. I can't seem to find out what the problem is also my tach jumps around every where under throttle.

THANKS

code 13 is an open oxygen sensor circuit. its probably junk but check to make sure the wiring is good.

Well, I'll throw it back up for ya, but I have no ideas, I'd say try and fix the o2 sensor problem, and go from there. Does that have an ESC system on it, spark knock sensor good? It seems to me that if it had really bad knock, the ESC should start heavily retarding timing. Otherwise wait ti;; one of the gurus gets in here, or make a new topic ATTN:Vader/GM Tech/Etc that should get their attention

Check your timing, the wires are in the right order, replace the O2 sensor, make sure all the wires are pluged in for the ESC and umm dont be a **** =)
