Trouble Starting..
My car takes like 20 seconds to start if i havent driven it for a day. It just doesn't catch on, i sit there and crank it for a bit n then after like 20seconds it catches on and starts. If i drove it an hour or 2 or 3 or something ago, it starts fine and everything.. Any way i can fix this?

n then i have to hold on the gas for a bit, or it will shut off again, i dont mind that part =D as i get people to stare and whatnot, but the cranking part is no fun =(
mines not fuel injected.

I had a similar problem with my z28 with a 305TPI... I really didnt know much about owrking on the engine so I was forced to take it to the chevy dealership so why my car wouldnt start but would just keep cranking over and over and eventually start..
My problem was that the plenum was just filled with crap , carbon buildup? and they just cleaned it out and it started to work fine. I had over 150k miles on the engine

Red Devil its the oil from the valve seals at startup. But when mine finally does fire it barely runs for a few seconds and then slowly gets up to 750 RPM.It does this if the car sits longer than 15 minutes EVERTIME!!

It is either a fuel or spark problem or both.
For those of you with Fuel injection I would check for a leaking injector or a fuel pump relay also check your timing.
Carburated you might try advancing the timing a bit or check your coil. Could also be a worn Cap and rotor or carbon tracking inside the cap.
