oil-fouled plugs

Okay, so it's not a thirdgen, it's a Honda POS, err.. Accord.. Early-90's model. I was changing the sparkplugs (man, that's so much easier than on my car.. Just four plugs sticking straight out the top of the engine.) Well, every one of them I pulled out was dripping with oil, in fact... even the plug wires themselves were saturated in oil some. Keep in mind their wires are different than ours... They have the wires coming from the distributor (or whatever they use), and then a 6" plastic extension that reaches down into the top of the engine to get to the plugs. The 6" plastic tube was soaked in oil.

What would cause something like that? I could understand the part of the plug that sticks into the cylinder getting fowled, but.. The wires?

In any case, it's causing the sparkplugs to be changed as often as the oil is.

Hmm honda huh? Guess im going to have to not answer this one "not".
Honads and almost all foreign cars that have that plug through the valve cover design have a flaw they leak oil, it could cause a fire if you think about it. but any way theres gaskets that surround the plug hole so thres a total of 5 gaskets on the valve cover. The plug gaskets are the ones that are leaking on your car. Just get a valve cover gasket set and you should be good to go. GL SSC
