Need Help Engine problem

Having trouble getting my new 383 on the road
OK Here's the problem.
The car will start just fine sometimes, I mean just fire up the sec i turn the key but other times it just turns. It is getting spark because it is setting my timeing gun off. It is also getting fuel because I can see it come out of the exhaust. Yet I Cant get it to even fire much less start.
I have taken the entire tuned port, distributor and coil out and checked all connections and even tried a diff coil.
I really need Help.
Thanx in advance

Well, if you got fuel and spark, it's either not enough fuel (do pressure checks, and injector flow checks) or it air delivery, not enough compression?, restricted airway?
I lied, it could be the computer control/sensors. MAF (if equipped) reading properly when it's not starting, use injectors firing 100% of the time?
That's all I can say, I haven't had this prob. Although maybe 5% of all my starts it does this, but I believe this is related to my (yes still) blown fuel pressure regulator, which I intend on fixing this weekend
