motor never runs consistent

motor neevr seems to run consistently!!

i jsut rebuilt it

but the timing makrs dont line up ,they are 90 degrees out when it runs the best!! also one day it will work great, then the next day it iwll be fouling plugs, then the next day, its leaner then hell!!
then my ignition is mis firing!!!

never runs consistent!!!

igntion(new stock gm coil)new gm module as well, new cap androtor(msd) ac delco plugs, new, taylor 8mm,street/strip wires

just put a .440 used cam in, wiht new lifters, it seems to shake quite abit at an idle.

when u get it tuned up it runs fast as hell the day it runs but the next day its time to tune hte motor all over again!

i also have a q jet with alot of mods done so it idles prperly! i used a holley for a while and it didnt help much!!

also vacum is at 13/14 inches and it jumps around alot!

That's indicative of leaking intake valves.

You might consider readjusting your valves for a start. How did you do it when you put the cam in?

Old cam with new lifters, or vice versa, it typically not recommended due to increased wear rate.

Yep, assuming a flat tappet cam, the lifters have a specific wear pattern coinciding with the cam lobes and vice versa. Not the best idea to mix and match lifters and cams when it comes to flat tappet.
