battery tray question

Im sure many of you have experienced a battery tray rusting out. Mines getting to the point where it must be replaced so i started looking around for them.

They are listed as right and left. I know my right from my left, but when they refer to the battery tray as being on the right do they mean the passenger side or do they mean the right side of the engine bay?

the question is "when referring to the battery tray does right = passenger side?"

Yes, right is pass side, left is drivers side. Theres actually a tray on each side of the car. Jsut that some of the newer cars have the charcoal can there instead of a battery.

I hope you realize that the battery tray is part of the front right fender support and you just cannot drop in a new tray.

My preferred method in another vehicle was nylon straps, although it was hard to put the battery there when the only thing left in place of the tray was air.

When mine rusted out, I figured it was a sign from the Heavens that I needed to put my battery in the trunk. Thus, I did.

Don't you guys know what a welder is? Even when you don't have one or access to one, a shop will only charge you what - $15 if you have everything clear for them? :shakesheadinshame:
