I have a really bad exhaust leak, almost sounds like open headers, and now my transmission isn't shifting when it should, when I step into it and go to shift into OD, it just stays at high RPM and then it will shift. I was wondering if this can be related to the exhuast leak, I know the TV cable controls shifts and I have never adjusted it, but it was ok before the exhuast leak but now the car doesn't want to shift right.

Try adjusting the TV cable 1st, its not hard to do at all.

 

It shouldn't be that though, it just started around the same time the exhuast leak got worse, I have to pass my car thru emissions and it has failed 2 times already, I was hoping to wait and get the leak fixed after the test that way hopefully most of my exhuast doesn't even reach the tailpipes.
By the way I read the tech article on adjusting the tv cable, I'm an idiot when it comes to working on cars and couldn't do it, is it the cable that is attached to the throttle.
