10, 11 and 12 second combos
I was just wondering what it would take to get into the 10, 11 and 12 second range, With a carb motor. So if you could post some combo's and suspension mods, that would be great.
Thank you

n/a?
simple.
big cubes
big heads
big cam
longtubes
LCAs
LCA Relocation brackets
sticky tires
converter
air bag.
few weeks of tuning the engine and chassis.
thats the easy route.
thank *** we dont have such a limited number of parts that there are "formulas" and "combos".
if you read ls1 boards, or some other boards for other cars where you're limited in the selection of aftermarket parts, they have these gay "formulas" of "do this, this and this to get this result"
umm, yeeea.

Its silly to not take proven combos into consideration when you're trying to go fast. I know a ton of guys who buy fancy expensive "big" heads, throw in some huge cam, do all the other typical stuff and run horrible numbers. Then I know guys who build combos out of the cheapest simplest parts that have been proven time and time again and they run amazingly fast.

gonna need a lot more stall if you wanna run good numbers. My friend runs that cam in a 400 and hes gotta 3500 stall ...You may want even more than that for all-out straight line performance.

Also that would be with a 700r4. With this set up I just cant figure out what cam I want. I just want to beable to run 11 or low 12. But iam not to sure on how to get there.

My friends 400 runs very close to 11's and his heads dont flow nearly as well as AFR 190's. The combo you listed with more converter and gear should have no problem busting high 11's (maybe better) with a good tune.

Cam card is in my tool box at the shop, but I looked it up on my DDyno.
specs were at .050 lift
106 lobe serparation
255/263 int/exh actual duration
.621/.621 lift
BTDC 25.5
BBDC 61.5
ABDC 49.5
ATDC 21.5
With zero degree of retard/advance
"Supposedly" and I use that loosely, the motor on ddyno says 601 hp @ 6500
531 ft/tq. @ 5000
This was based off entering my actual head flowing data and actual cam specs so it's about as close as one could possible get as far as entering the exact data in since I had all the information to do it.
Just know it takes alot of ponies to move my heavy butt into the 10's. So generically speaking the DDyno is probably pretty close if you go by mph/weight of car math formula.
