head bolt?

head bolt?


i'am missing a head bolt could this cause water to get it to the oil? its the middle bottom one on the pass. side if it helps

when i got the motor it was missing. but would it cause water to get into the oil?

well, there's always a possibility that the bolt was in the area of a water jacket and would weaken the joint between the head and block enough to allow the head to warp up and blow the head gasket..

SBC head bolts go into the water jackets.

As Ede said, get a bolt in there.
