Is it alright if I run regular insteed of premium in my firebird formula?? The gas cap says premium only.

Try it.

My 86 TA TPI (now with a 91 engine) I run on 87 all the time, dont get any knock counts and I dont hear any detonation.

octane depends upon compression ratios. I have about a 9.8 comp ratio and I need to run 92 octane or i will get detonation. What year enf=gine do you have you should be ok but be ready to add octane booster if your gas cap says "premium only"
