Should I use positive seals on the exhaust valve?
After scrolling the valve seal stuff for 3 hours, I cannot come to a concensus.
Shoud I use Positive or umbrella type seals on the exhaust valve? I see some people have, and some people say it is a sure way to kill your valves.

I'd suggest the positive seals, stainless valves, and synthetic lubricant. GM offers positive seals on almost everything they build now (since about 1993). You can get seals from them, or many aftermarketers. The exhaust seals are different, and marked as such.

I use these, or the equivalent, on everything I build for myself, and as many customer motors as I can get them to pay for them. Note that there are 16 in the package.

Okay, I saw these seals in a post by Tim (Traxion)...
Now I messaged him asking him questions about them, never got an answer.
My questions are, will they fit stock LB9 heads, both intake and exhaust, without maching? Do I need to use the O-Rings also? Should I use them on both intake and exhaust?
Do any of you guys have information or experience with these?

While you are there make sure you swap out those crappy valve seals with a set of vitons from TEA (picture here)

Well, like I said I use Sealed Power valve guide seals (XUA-MV1888) on both the int. and exh. even though I think they are for the int. valve only. I do not use the o-rings on the valve stems and this allowes oil to run down the valve stem through the split in the valve locks. These seals are for a .562" guide. Engine will not smoke on start up and valve guide wear seems to be ok. Just freshend up a set of 406 heads (12,000 mi) with this setup and the valve guides were fine. Vortec heads have nice valve guide seals but in my case (.562" guides) the OD on these guides would have to be machined.
