Broken Trans mount on engine block.

See the picture below. Is this enough reason to pitch this block? Can it / should it be fixed? How much of a safety issue is it?

Thanks,
Jason

damn my bad eyes, but is it just one bell housing bolt?? If so, forget about it. Put in the rest, and dont think about it.

yeah i tihnk all in all it wouldn't matter. if you want to do something you could build it up with epoxy and redrill and tap it.

Thats definatly not a big deal. If your really worried about it do what ede suggested. Just think about it. Thats one of like 9 bolts holding the trans on along with the two dowels.

I can see your points. It's my first time and I don't really recognize what is important versus what ain't a great big deal.

I think this engine has been touched before. There's some blue goop at the bottom of the timing chain cover, the timing cover looks like someone has pried at it before, and there's absolutely no sludge at all under the valve cover. Maybe I'll get lucky and it really is just some seals to be replaced.

i wouldnt worry about that one bolt ,
the blue goop is probably gasket sealer ,
and that means someone has replaced the timing chain or front seal on it before.
