I went to that site and they said the heads were for a 307 or 327 with 70cc chamber off a 1968.

But will they work with a 350tpi or am i just wasting my time?

With the '91 manifold? If you have the material in the manifold to alter the two center intake bolt holes on each side then yes you could use them. I'd see if anyone can pop in and recognize if they are any good. You may be better off with the heads you have on there now.

Do they have accessory holes? Likely not if its a '68 casting. If they don't have them, you are SOL. If they do, go nuts

1968 307 or 327 = granny's engine.

1968 was the last year of the 327 and the first year of the 307. They were the "entry level" V8's, and only came with 2bbl carbs. They had heads to match the 2bbl carb "performance".

You can go nuts on them, but after all the effort, that will also be your conclusion.

You didn't happen to measure the intake valve diameter, did you? As in 1.72"?

I didn't get that quite right. 1969 was the last year of the 327. Those heads are one-year wonders because they went with accessory holes in 1969.

Without the accessory holes, you'd be hard pressed to make good use of them, regardless of performance potential.

I checked this morning and they dont have assy. holes so i guess there useless. that would also explain why the power steering was never hooked up.

Well, then, sell them to the mechanic who's offering $100. Not a total loss, eh?

Are you trying to upgrade the 350 in your Camaro? If so, just port and polish the stock 083s on the L98 and you'll have a hopping little mouse

any 307 is a waste of time. however the 327 is quite the power plant. Big bore+ short stroke= lots of upper rpm fun, and power. There are quite alot of impressive 327s from the factory, solid cams.... Holley carbs w/ mechanical secondaries..

Yeah, don't forget the old 350 HP 327 Vette motors. No slouch. Didn't they also make a 327 with a solid cam and 365 HP? Wasn't that the old "30-30" Duntov cam?
