cam indexing, how hard?

cam indexing, how hard?

i have bad lifters in my engine and can get a cam and lifters for under a hundered bucks but i am fearing indexing a new cam. any advice is greatly appreciated.

just turn the crank till #1 is at TDC before you start. after you have the timing cover off note the postion of the dots on the 2 gears and replace the gears so the dots are in the same place. look in a manual to get an idea of how the marks line up
