My car is an 89 Camaro RS with the MPFI 2.8L V-6 and its doing something really funnky. It doesn't die totally but the engine seems to cut out, but comes right back. Then this morning I start it and it dies but when I try to restart it nothing happens, its like there was no power, but I had to have some power because the dome light came on when I opened the door. Then after I waited for about a min or two I tired again and it started no probelm. I let it run for about a min to make sure it wasn't going to die and it doesn't so I take it out and it dies at the first stop sign. It starts fine then on my way to school it starts to cut out and in again so I pull over and wait. Try to start it again nothing, so I wait again and try starts fine and no problems all the way to school. So does any one have any idea what might be causeing this and what I need to do to fix it?

 

If I were you, I would check the ignition coil. Sometimes when they get hot, they will act up. Try replacing it.
